A Seminar with Carole Joy Seid on A Literature Based Approach to Education

Carole’s heartfelt desire is to make your home schooling experience simple, enjoyable , and affordable. If you are feeling insecure, overwhelmed or just in need of a fresh vision, come spend the day with us.

Carole Joy Seid, is a veteran home school mother, who has a B.A. in fine arts and a master’s degree in education. She has taught in both public and Christian schools, spoken at numerous conventions and presently does educational consulting for families across the country. At the core of her philosophy is the secret to educational success: great books, great books and more great books.

The comprehensive all day seminar format provides opportunity for in-depth coverage of many topics, as well as allowing you to interject your own questions and concerns. The pace will be exhilarating yet personal. The day will consist of four workshops:
• Developing your own philosophy of education Learn about readiness, child development, and why boys learn so much differently than girls.
• How to make your child a lover of books Receive Carole’s list of what books you can’t let your children leave childhood without reading.
• Teaching history using classical literature Use literature to teach history, art, music and science with her invaluable time line handouts of Western Civilization.
• Creative curriculum How to design your own curriculum for math, science, handwriting, grammar, and foreign language simply and inexpensively.

From Gallatin: Drive south on Vietnam Veteran's Blvd. Exit #1 (Conference Drive) Exit toward the right (north) onto Conference Drive. At the 4th traffic light turn right onto Long Hollow Pike. Turn at 2nd right onto Caldwell Lane. Church is on the left.

From Louisville: Interstate 65 south. Exit 97 (Long Hollow Pike) Off the exit turn left onto Long Hollow Pike. Turn at the 5th right onto Caldwell Lane. Church is on the left.

Lunch Feel free to bring your own bag lunch to allow time for visiting.
